Passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 15, 2004.  He was 78 years of age.  

Dr. Hefner was born August 3, 1925, in Hartville, Mo. 

Dr Hefner was a Chiropractor for 52 Years. Practiced in Hillsboro for 36 Years.

Was a WW II Veteran serving in the Navy. 

A member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus # 6401, Amvets Post #  48. 

A graduate of Missouri Chiropractic College St. Louis Mo.

Survived by his wife Estelle Hefner (nee Pumphrey) of Hillsboro, MO, whom he married on January 18, 1947.

His children Robert Edwin Hefner of Lynchburg, VA, Sally Ann Dunn of Herculaneum, Mo, 

Dennis Anthony Hefner of Hillsboro, Mo. And Marysusan Banavali of Philadelphia, PA.

Also survived by his brother Arvil Hefner of Springfield, MO and sister, Harriet Allen of San Luis Obispo, CA.

16 Grandchildren and 10 great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Mellish C. and Annie Hefner (nee Ridle) and three brothers

Henry, John and William Hefner and one sister Minnie Percival. Also preceded in death by one

Granddaughter Joyce L. Hefner.

Visitation Saturday, April 17, 2004, at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St. from 2:00 until 5:00 PM.
