Jefferson County List of Registered Sex Offenders
Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statutes Chapter 589, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office maintains a list of sex offenders residing in Jefferson County who are required to register under Section 589.400 RsMo. A list of sex offenders is being offered on this web site as a public service to citizen's who may need this information for the protection and well-being of their families.

Gateway Vehicle Inspection Program
The new vehicle emissions testing program began Oct. 1. The state is licensing auto repair shops to conduct safety and emissions tests for the new Gateway Vehicle Inspection Program.

Vehicles 1995 and older will be exempt from the emissions testing process, however, a safety inspection will still be required. All 1996 and newer gas-powered vehicles and 1997 and newer diesel-powered vehicles 8,500 pounds or less gross vehicle weight rating registered in the St. Louis nonattainment area will be subject to an emissions test and safety inspection. The nonattainment area includes registered vehicles in St. Louis City, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Louis and St. Charles counties.

Missouri Case.Net
Provides access to the Missouri State Courts Automated Case Management System. From here you are able to inquire on case records including docket entries, parties, judgments, and charges in public court. Only courts that have implemented the case management software as part of the Missouri Court Automation Project and only cases that have been deemed public under the Missouri Revised Statutes can be accessed through Case.net.

Missouri Digital News (MDN) is a service of news, information, streaming audio and data on state government, politics and public policy in Missouri. MDN is produced by the State Government Reporting Program of the Missouri School of Journalism.

Missouri Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry
The Revised Statutes of Missouri, Sections 589.400 to 589.425 and 43.650, RSMo., mandate that the Missouri State Highway Patrol shall maintain a sex offender database and a web site on the Internet that is accessible to the public. Additional information and verification can be obtained from the Chief Law Enforcement Official (Sheriff) of the county where the sex offender resides. The web site is intended to supplement and compliment the sex offender registries maintained by the various counties.

Missouri Municipal League
Established in 1934, this agency strives "for the cooperation of Missouri cities, towns and villages and to promote the interest, welfare and closer relations among them in order to improve municipal government and administration in the state."  A highlight of the site is the Resource Guide for Missouri Municipalities listing available grants, loans, and assistance programs.

The Missouri State Archives
Created in 1965 as a division of the Office of the Secretary of State, the Missouri State Archives is the officially designated repository for all state records of permanent value. Prevailing Wage - Division of Labor Standards, Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations
Missouri's Prevailing Wage Law establishes a minimum wage rate that must be paid to workers on public works construction projects in Missouri, such as bridges, roads and government buildings. The prevailing wage rate differs by county and for different types of work.  This site contains the forms and wage orders needed to correctly follow the prevailing wage regulations.

State Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division

This site is a partnership of federal agencies to improve access to government assistance programs.  These programs include direct payment, loans, insurance, training and other services.  The online screening tool can be used to determine if you may be eligible for any government benefit programs.  The results list will include information about how to apply for specific programs that may be able to provide benefits to you.

Library of Congress
Provides access to a wide variety of cultural information covering the United States and the world.  The online catalog of materials held by the Library of Congress is searchable from this site.

This joint project of several government agencies explores one hundred milestone documents of American history.  Documents are available in their original form through scanned digital images.

Missouri State Census Data Center
Census information from the 1980 census forward can be accessed for all levels of Missouri geography.  Population estimates and projections for the state are also available.  Webtools at the site include the MCDC-Mapper, which generates color maps based on demographic information from the census.  The maps break down to the block group level for both the 1990 and 2000 censuses.

Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis - University of MO Outreach & Extension
Features Missouri demographics, education and health statistics.  OSEDA uses Regional Profiles as a format for presenting important and timely social, economic and demographic indicators pertaining to Missouri's counties and regions. Indicator data such as change in population, ages of the population, median family income, etc. are presented in table form.

The entire content of the 2003 edition of the Statistical Abstract for Missouri is available.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to view the information as it is in .pdf format.  This publication is no longer available in print format.   

U.S. Census Bureau
The best place to start is the A-Z subject index to census resources.  The highlight of the site is American FactFinder that includes census data accessible via street address, reference and thematic census maps, and access to Census 2000 tables for various levels of geography.  By choosing “Access Tools” from the main Census Bureau page, you can access a wide variety of tools to aid in census research.

St. Louis City Code
The Revised Code of the City of St. Louis is a compilation of ordinances which are generally enforceable throughout the city. Ordinances which are compiled in the Code are organized according to topic (i.e. Personnel, administration, Health and Hospitals, etc). Ordinances related to neighborhood redevelopment projects, traffic regulations and street closings do not appear in the Code.
